Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance received a £3,500 boost from Lincoln Business Club members and colleagues, who raised vital funds through its Annual Golf Day.

The significant donation from the fifth Business Club Golf Day will directly support Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance’s life-saving operations across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

Rachel Wilson, Head of Philanthropy and Community fundraising at Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, said: “Raising this much money from a single-day event is an amazing achievement that will help our charity bring critical, life-saving emergency care directly to patients wherever they are.”

“We’re incredibly grateful to Lincoln Business Club, its sponsors and everyone who participated in this year’s Golf Day. These funds represent a real injection of support for our critical care crews and the patients across our region, when every single minute counts in terms of saving someone’s life.”

“As an independent charity, we rely entirely on donations to operate. These funds pay for the specialist equipment, training and rapid response care that our teams deliver across both counties. To see the Lincolnshire business community rally behind us in such a generous and enjoyable way means the world to us – and the raffle and buffet were great, too!”

The fifth annual Lincoln Business Club Golf Day was held at Market Rasen Golf Club, who were also supportive in organising and raising much-needed funds for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, who receive no direct government funding.

Thanks also go to headline sponsorship from Nicholsons Chartered Accountants, Cowens Group and Pro 5 Networking, with every penny of ticket revenue being donated to the charity.

Alex Nightingale, organiser of the Lincoln Business Club Golf Day, said: “It was a brilliant day, maybe the best one we’ve run yet, and that goes down to those who took part.

“The real winner was Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, and we’re delighted to have secured this significant funding for them.”

The funds will go directly to equipping LNAA’s crews and maintaining the rapid response capability that serves some of the region’s most critical emergencies.

In addition to the shotgun-style golf competition under clear skies, there was a supporter cycle ride, followed by an evening summer social back at the clubhouse. The day brought together members and guests from across the Lincolnshire business community in support of LNAA’s work.

Lincoln Business Club – the longest running not-for-profit community networking club in Lincoln – also proudly raised £6,500 in support of Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance following fundraising initiatives across 2025.
