Lincoln Business Club announces Charity of the Year 2026, & it’s a second year running for Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance

We have a charity of the year announcement to make, and if you were at our recent meetings, you might already know the result. The votes were cast and the committee counted (we have the pictures to prove it was fair!). And for a second year running, Lincoln Business Club members have chosen to support Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) as our Charity of the Year for 2026.
This was the members’ choice: This was not a committee decision. Every Lincoln Business Club member had a vote, and the result speaks volumes to stick with the fantastic LNAA. After a year of fundraising, raising awareness, and building a genuine relationship with the LNAA team, our members didn’t only want to continue, they were excited to. That kind of enthusiasm comes from seeing the impact first-hand, understanding what this charity does, and knowing that what we raise genuinely makes a difference to people across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

About Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance: LNAA covers 3,500 square miles across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. In 2025 alone, they responded to 1,608 incidents. To date, they’ve completed over 32,017 missions, and they do it entirely without direct government funding. Every pound they receive comes from donations and fundraising. That’s £13 million needed every single year just to keep the service operational. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! And right now, LNAA are working towards something even bigger. A second helicopter is due to launch in 2027 – which means even more lives will be saved across our region. Funding that second aircraft is one of their most significant challenges, and it’s something our community can genuinely be part of.

How we’ll be supporting LNAA across 2026:

As a club, we have two dedicated fundraising events throughout the year, and the first one is coming up this Friday.

The Business Detox – Friday 24th April, 9:30am-12pm

Straight after our morning meeting, we’re doing something a little different. The Business Detox is a space to step back, switch off, and give your brain a proper rest.

After a relaxing yoga session with Samantha Burlton and a sound bath with Peter Ison – both long-standing Lincoln Business Club members – you’ll leave feeling genuinely reset. And here’s the thing: some of the best ideas you’ll ever have don’t happen at your desk. They happen when you’ve stepped away, quietened your nervous system, and given your mind room to breathe.

TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE HERE: The Business Detox

Lincoln Business Club Golf Day & Summer Social – 10th September 2026, Market Rasen Golf Course

Our annual Golf Day is back, and again this year it’s paired with the Summer Social, so you can come for the golf, stay for the social, or enjoy both.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just looking for a brilliant day out with the business community, this one always delivers and you don’t need to be a pro to play, we’re a friendly bunch of golfers.

Get involved beyond the club:
LNAA also run their own fundraising events throughout the year that are open to members of the public, not just business club members. You can find everything on their website. One more year of even more impact. We’re proud to be supporting LNAA for a second year, and even prouder that our members made that choice themselves. If you’d like to get involved, come to one of our events, share the word, or simply donate directly to the charity, every bit of support counts. We’ll see you at the meeting and Business Detox on Friday.
